Junior Investigator of the Year Award
This award honors an exceptional junior investigator whose work is broadly focused on the biomedical sciences. The awardee is an individual who has contributed substantial new insights and knowledge in the pursuit of improving human health and has linked basic science with clinical application. Robert Newcomb Interdisciplinary Team Science Award
The Robert Newcomb Interdisciplinary Team Science Award has been established to celebrate the importance of interdisciplinary teams in the translation of research discoveries into clinical applications and, eventually, clinical practice. Self-nominations are encouraged. A single coordinated nomination should be submitted for each team. Nominations are due Friday, 3/27. Submit here.
Distinguished Faculty Mentor of the Year Award
This award honors a faculty who has shown an outstanding commitment to mentoring, advising, and support of clinical and translational science research. Nominations are due Friday, 3/27. Submit here.
Outstanding Community Researcher Awards
These awards acknowledge individuals’ exemplary commitment to collaborative research partnerships comprised of campus researcher(s) and community organization(s). Nominations are sought for two awards: 1) UCI faculty, staff, or students that excel in demonstrating principles of engagement in building partnerships with community organizations. 2) Community leaders who show commitment to incorporating principles of research and quality improvement in their efforts to address the health of the communities they serve.
