Margaret Schneider, Ph.D. is Director of Pilot Studies and Evaluation and Associate Director of the Institute for Clinical and Translational Science (ICTS) as well as a Researcher in the Joe C. Wen School of Population & Public Health at University of California, Irvine. In her capacity as Director of Pilot Studies, she oversees the annual call for funding applications and chairs the grant review study sections. Dr. Schneider is available to consult with potential applicants about planned submissions and works to support successful research implementation among awardees. Her personal academic work has focused on school-based physical activity intervention research as well as program evaluation.

Amanda Woodworth is the Program Manager of the ICTS Pilot Studies Program at the Institute for Clinical and Translational Science (CITS). As the Pilot Program Manager, she facilitates the execution of the annual call for funding applications and works with investigators to get Prior Approval in place once selected for funding. Ms. Woodworth is available to answer any questions regarding the Pilot Awards Program.

RAFT Liason
Melissa Estrada Martinez, MPH, is the Research Acceleration Facilitation Team (RAFT) Liaison at the Institute for Clinical and Translational Science (ICTS). As the RAFT Liaison, she assists in the implementation of the annual call for application and provides post award support during the year of funding connecting investigators with resources to move their project forward. She provides RAFT support to both the Pilot Awards and Campus-Community Research Incubator (CCRI) Awards. Mrs. Estrada Martinez is available to facilitate connecting investigators to the available ICTS resources.
