UCI Profiles Website
UCI Profiles is a research networking and expertise platform that contains information on researchers
from UC Irvine, UC San Diego, UC Los Angeles, UC San Francisco, UC Davis, and University of Southern California.
UCI Profiles can be used to find people, identify new collaborators, and discover research connections
such as who co-authored together or work on similar research topics.
HRP manages UCI’s human research protections program by providing administrative support to its
Institutional Review Boards (IRB), which are responsible for protecting the safety and welfare of human subjects.
HRP staff work directly with investigators and their administrative staff to assist them with understanding IRB
requirements and the process for submitting research protocols to the IRB. HRP staff offer online office hours
to field any human research and IRB related questions.

ORCID is an interdisciplinary organization that provides a digital identifier (an ORCID iD) that
distinguishes you from other researchers and a record that supports automatic links among all your
professional activities. An ORCID iD reliably connects you with your works, awards, and affiliations
and alleviates mistaken identity.
