Overview
First initiated in 2015, the ICTS Grants Library is a repository of over 60 successful NIH applications that houses examples of various grant mechanisms such as F, K, T, and Loan Repayment Program awards. Select example awards also contain the Summary Statement provided after the award’s study section review. Students, researchers, and investigators may request access to the library to view successfully awarded NIH applications for ideas on how to structure their own proposals. Access to the library is restricted to UC Irvine personnel and is not intended to be a source of ideas for new research projects. The library should be used only for insight on structuring, formatting, and viewing the various components that compose a full NIH application.
Protections for Grants Housed in the Library
All proposals donated to the ICTS Grants Library are protected with several security measures. Library users are restricted from downloading applications or copying text within the example proposals. Library access is also provided in 30-day increments and is automatically revoked after 30 days if an extension or new request is not submitted. Some example awards may include redacted text to protect proprietary research.
Getting Access to the Library
Access to the ICTS Grants Library is request-based and is granted in 30-day increments. Library requests are reviewed individually by an ICTS Team Member. Please allow 24-48 working hours (i.e., Monday – Friday, 8am-5pm) for your request to be approved.
To gain access to the Library, please submit your request here.
If you are having trouble gaining access to the Library or you submitted a request but it has not yet been approved, please contact Brooke Piercy.
Do you have a grant you’d like to donate to be used as an example in the Library? Please contact Brooke Piercy for information on how to upload your proposal.
