Application for Clinical Resources

The ICTS collaborates with the CCR and has facilities at the UCI Main Campus and UCI Medical Center in Orange, offering investigators the support they need to conduct clinical research. These services include specially trained research nursing, technical and support staff and a large selection of procedural support. The ICTS and CCR staff are uniquely trained to carry out the research protocols with an emphasis on patient safety and quality research.

**Please note: Support from the CCR nursing services team will require study utilization of OnCore Clinical Trial Management System and scheduling to the UCI Epic Electronic Health Record for all visits utilizing CCR clinic space or staff time occurring after 12/1/21. All nursing service requests are now operating through CCR. For more information about the OnCore CTMS requirements to be completed prior to participant visits, please contact oncoresupport@hs.uci.edu.

For all other CCR nursing services questions please contact the clinic manager, Carey Berkowick, at cberkow1@hs.uci.edu.

For ICTS Biorepository Laboratory Services please contact Dr. Fadia Haddad, fhaddad@hs.uci.edu.

For additional assistance contact Andria Pontello Meyer, apontell@hs.uci.edu.

Many of the clinical research services are provided by expert registered nurses (RNs) in our two outpatient clinics; one at UCI Medical Center and one on the UCI campus.  The clinical staff understands the specific demands of research and are very experienced in the care of research participants of all ages, many of whom have a myriad of health conditions and/or rare diseases participating in studies of varying complexity

In addition to providing and coordinating exemplary clinical care, research RNs have a central role in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the completion of research objectives in a safe and efficient manner, maintaining integrity of protocol procedures and accuracy of research data collection. The RNs may assist investigators in developing MD orders and data collection tools. The clinics have routine supplies and equipment and can accommodate specialty equipment and supplies on a space-available basis.
