Mark A. Rothstein, JD
Director of Translational Bioethics
Translational bioethics, an emerging field of research ethics, is the study of the societal and long-term implications of transformative biomedical research. Societal implications include possible social, psychological, economic, legal, and cultural effects and therefore translational bioethics uses a multidisciplinary approach.
Professor Rothstein is co-course director (with Dr. Bruce Albala) of Ethics in Clinical Research, MS-BATS 296. Here is a link to a recent article: https://www.science.org/stoken/author-tokens/ST-1977/full
He also serves as Contributing Editor of “Ethics in Translational Research,” a regular column in the journal Ethics & Human Research.
